気になる食堂。
夏の間に常駐していた現場の近くに「まんぷく食堂」っていう食堂があって、以前一度だけ入りました。工事がまだ本格的に始まっていないからお弁当を注文できないし、コンビニで買って食べるのにも飽きていたころのことです。
店はおじさんが一人で切り盛りしていて、席につくとワンカップで水を出してくれました。
そして私は野菜炒め定食を注文しました。火力が強いせいか、おじさんの調子が悪かったせいか、こげ目の多い野菜炒めが出てきました。こんなこともあると思いながらとくに気にせず食べました。
後日、その食堂でごはんを食べた人の話を聞いたら、おじさんは他の料理でも焦げ目を多めにつけていたことがわかりました。かつ丼や親子丼も中華鍋で作るから焦げ目が多めにつくそうです。現場でお弁当を注文できるようになってから思い出すことがなかったその食堂がすこし気になりました。

乗り換え下手。
東京の電車はむずかしい。
きょう、高田馬場から東京駅にいくのに中央線の混雑を避けて東京メトロに乗ったのが間違いだった。電車はすいててよかったんだけど、大手町で丸の内線に乗り換えるときに駅構内の看板にしたがって歩いてたらうっかり改札を出てしまった。改札機に飲み込まれていくきっぷ。けっきょく買いなおして東京駅についた。
東京駅に着いてから京葉線のホームをめざして、また看板を見ながら歩いていったら連絡通路をとおって15分くらいかかった。京葉線のホームで、自分が乗る予定の電車は15分かけて歩いてきた元の場所にあることを駅員さんに教えてもらったけどもう戻る気は起きなかった。

Linux
ウィンドウマネージャをXFCE4に戻した。使いやすいんだもん。operaを導入してみた。mozilla-firefoxのレンダリングの方が好みだった。
snd-cs46xx.o を組み込んだらサウンドカードが動作した。
sambaを導入。Linux <--> Windows の双方向でファイル共有が行えるようになりました。

アユッタヤー
気がつくと今日はもう土曜日だった。寮の部屋にカレンダーがないから忘れてた。きょうはアユタヤに旅行に行く日だった。まず朝食を食べに行こうとした。土日は休業らしく、屋台で済ますことにした。3人で歩いていって、ぼくは麺を食べた。ミルクっぽい味がする辛いスープ。親指大のまるいかまぼこ（よりプレーン）みたいなのが入っていてすごいおいしい。そして旅行の待ち合わせの場所へ。チャンコーがだいぶ遅れて来て出発は遅れた。そんなんで車で出発。高速道路を走って1時間ほどしたらアユタヤについた。寺と寺の跡を回った。基本的に大仏はでかい。きょう見た大仏のほとんどが奈良サイズ。そして感じたのは、仏教が大衆にとって身近だということ。ばっちり決めた格好のギャルが数人で来て大仏を拝んでいたりする。後ろはハミパンしながら。ところでアユタヤは古代都市であり日本からも移住者がいたらしい。彼らがいた日本人街に行く。現代でも観光客は日本人しかいない。売っているものにしても日本人価格だ。昼ごはんを通り沿いの食堂でとる。午後も寺を中心にまわる。途中で象の配車場みたいなのがあった。あんなにたくさんの象を見たのは初めてだ。つかれて帰宅。
ＭＢＫの高い階に本屋や映画館があるというので視察する。やっと日タイ辞典を買った。んで家で飲んでる。
