au に別れを告げる
au に別れを告げる理由はこうだ。
- 次に au に機種変更するとなると WIN 機になりそう
- WIN 契約では学割が効かない
- それなら家族割に
- 自分以外の家族が DoCoMo ユーザなので家族割が適用できない。
- それなら DoCoMo に新規契約して 35% の家族割を受けるべき。
au のサイケデリックな配色の端末ラインナップとももうお別れ。

ソニエリのFOMAが出るとか
C413Sに機種変しようか
Vodafone 702NK (Nokia6630) は発売延期で萎え気味
au W21Sは無難すぎ。WINネットワークは今のところメリットを感じない。
いっそ、以前使用していたC413Sに機種変更して気分転換しようかとも思っていた矢先に朗報を聞いた。ソニー・エリクソンがFOMA向けの端末をいずれリリースすると解釈していいよう。

記事によれば協業の対象となるのは、ユーザーから見えないところを中心に、
- Symbian OSを使った基幹ソフトウェア
- ハードウェア(部分的に)
であるらしい。共通部分以外は、"差別化できるアプリケーションなどの部分"として各社が開発を行うもよう。
そうして開発を行ったらどんな端末ができあがるのか、今から楽しみ。
2社の協業によってソフトウェアとハードウェアがどこまで共通化されるのかが気になる。グラフィック表示関係が共通化された場合、2社からリリースされる両端末の画面切替え速度まで同程度になってしまわないか、とか。そんなことはないと思うけど。
一番の希望はソニエリがソニーらしい端末を出してくれること。操作にストレスを感じさせない高速動作がほしい。プラスPOBoxだったら、キャリ変で電話番号が変わっても買う。
あと、海外でソニエリとしてリリースされている、エリクソンちっくな端末には仕上げてほしくない。そんなことはないと思うけど。

Vodafone、いつのまにNokia端末出してたの

しかもSymbian OS を搭載した Vodafone 702NK こと Nokia6630。auからドコモにキャリア変更しようか迷っているときに Vodafone という新たな悩みの種を蒔いてくれました。
しかもBlueTooth搭載だし。
しかもW-CDMAとGSMの3バンド対応だから海外で現地の携帯電話としてそのまま使えるし。Vodafoneの機種としての発売だから海外で売られている価格よりだいぶ安く購入できるはず。その代わりSIMロックがあるのだけど。
なにより日本では数少ないストレート型の端末だから最高。
ひとつ問題点を挙げるとすればキャリアが Vodafone ということだ。

Nokia 端末だけでなく Sony Ericsson や MOTOROLA の端末もリリースするなんて、なかなか気の利いた企業だ。心が、揺らいだ。

Vodafone ショップに702NKのモックがそろそろ入っているだろうと思い(Vodafone のWEBに端末の紹介があったから)、アークガレリアのところにあるお店に行ってみたらモックが見当たらず。
店員さんに聞いてみたところ、モックは無いし発売日もわからないと言われた。加えて、カタログにもほんの少ししか載っていない、と。カタログを見ると表紙をめくったところに写真が一枚あるだけだ。
帰宅してからインターネットで調べてみたら発売延期とか。Vodafone ってば、がっかり。

最近ドコモが魅力的
携帯電話を買い換えたい
と思うのは現在使っている機種に飽きたとき。今の機種は2004年4月に機種変更したSony Ericsson A5404S(au)だ。当時、Sonyの最新でローエンド機だったA1402Sを買おうと思いお店に行ったところ、メモリースティックDUO同梱のハイエンド機の方が発売後時間経過で安くなっていたため購入したのだった。
当初のお目当てとは違ったものの不本意な買い物ではなかった。実際、130万画素CCDカメラはお手軽なデジカメの代用品として役に立った。
ところがほんの10ヶ月間使っただけでデザインに飽きた。加えてフラットなボタン/ジョグが押しづらいという問題が出てきた(購入当初から感じていたけど)。だから携帯電話を買い換えたいと思う。
携帯電話を使い始めたときからキャリアはauだ。理由はもちろんガク割がお得だから。それが第一の理由で、他にcdmaの音声通信の質のよさなんかがある。特にauからドコモに移る必要がないから数年間auを使いつづけている。
ところが最近、ドコモを使いたい理由が増えてきた。それがドコモ版のデザインプロジェクトと言えそうなpremini-S/premini, prosolid, Music PORTER, Lechiffonのラインナップである。Nokiaの"贈り物"を彷彿とさせるMusic PORTER…auにはないそそられるデザインだ。
上記のラインナップはまだ発売日未定なので次の機種変更まで妄想するとして、現在発売されている端末で魅力的なのがSO506ic。平ジョグより親指にやさしそうな○ジョグと、リボルバー式開閉が未来的でよろι。
